Boxing News

It is with great sadness that we break the news that legendary trainer Roger Mayweather had passed away aged 58 with the cause of death unconfirmed.

The Former two-time World Champion followed up a career of 59-13, 35 KOs by becoming a mainstay in the corner of his multiple title winning nephew Floyd Mayweather Jr, opinion from most that he was one of the best trainers of his generation.

Roger’s health had been declining for a time, even Floyd touched on the subject in a 2015 Interview, saying ‘He’s only in his 50s, but it seems like he’s an old man in his 80s.’

The passing of the great comes at a difficult time for the Mayweather household who are already trying to come to terms with the passing of Floyd Mayweather’s former girlfriend Jose Harris who was found dead in her car on Monday.
