Conor Benn not only claimed revenge over Chris Eubank Jr, he did so in dominant fashion in their highly anticipated rematch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

Eubank Jr was victorious in their previous encounter, coming into this one as the betting favourite, but Benn tore up the script on a cold London night.

From the opening round, Benn took the fight to Eubank using a stunting jab mixed with hard combinations, ticking each round off before putting a cherry on top of the cake with a double knockdown in the twelfth to claim a unanimous decision victory.

The result is now level at one a piece, but it seems like that might be enough with Benn immediately ruling out a trilogy.

“It’s been some journey and I feel like this is the end of the Benn-Eubank saga,” Benn told DAZN.

“It’s done and finished. It’s over. This ends here.”

Benn then went on to say “everyone was saying ‘I can’t box’ – put that in your pipe and smoke it,”

There was also plaudits to the defeated, Benn saying “This wouldn’t have been what it was without Chris and without our dads,” he added. “This is generational. This is history. Credit to Chris.

“That’s all I’ve got to say. Not bad for two silver spoon kids.”
