On November 28, DragonFire Promotions returns to Metro City Nightclub for their final event of 2025.
Headlining the show is a highly anticipated rematch between Bilal Seidu and Lewis Clarke, a bout that promises fireworks after their heated first encounter back in August.
The fight was a hard-fought battle, with Clarke edging out a controversial decision victory that left fans and pundits debating the outcome.
Since making his debut in 2021, Lewis Clarke has established himself as one of Western Australia’s top heavyweight talents. Known for his hard-hitting, fan-friendly style, Clarke has built a record of six wins and one loss, capturing two state heavyweight titles before earning a call-up to compete in the WBC Heavyweight Grand Prix.
After falling short in the tournament, Clarke made the move down a weight class in pursuit of another state title, setting up his first clash with fan favourite Bilal Seidu.
Just three months before that fight, Seidu had challenged Billy Quinncroft for the WA State Cruiserweight Title in a losing effort that snapped his unbeaten record (2-0-1). Determined to bounce back, Seidu took on Clarke at Thunderdome 51 in what was billed as a title eliminator for the cruiserweight crown.
Throughout the fight, Seidu consistently caught Clarke clean in the centre of the ring, following up with relentless pressure against the ropes. Clarke also landed sharp uppercuts and heavy body shots, but many felt Seidu had done enough to win.
The judges saw it differently, awarding Clarke a split-decision victory that sparked plenty of controversy and calls for a rematch.
With that result still fresh in everyone’s minds, a sequel was inevitable. With the current undisputed champion Billy Quinncroft not being available until March, promoter Tony Tolj confirmed the rematch will be for an interim state title.
Now, just three months later, both fighters return to settle unfinished business. It’ll be fascinating to see what adjustments each man brings to the ring this time around.
With a guaranteed shot at the state title on the line, the stakes of this second fight couldn’t be higher.
