I don’t think it comes as a surprise to anyone when hearing the news that the former heavyweight ruler Tyson Fury will be making his return to a boxing ring in 2026.
“Who would I rather fight right now? Usyk. I want my revenge in England, that’s all I want,” Fury told Boxing News
“I want my fair shout, and I don’t believe I’ve got a fair shout the last two times. I don’t know what I’m going to have to do, because I can’t let it go to a decision.
“That’s the one I want, but if I don’t get that then it will be (Anthony) Joshua, the biggest British boxing fight that will ever happen.
“It would break all records and it would sell out 100,000 at Wembley in an hour and it’s a fight I think can happen, if I did decide to come back and the deal was right.”
Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, revealed on X that Fury had informed him he will make his comeback next year after stepping away from the sport.
“The ‘Gypsy King’ will be back!!! I talked with him, and I have his word to have him in Riyadh Season in 2026. We have a rabbit to hunt!”
BENAVIDEZ TO FACE YARDE IN NOVEMBER
Never one to shy away from battle, Anthony Yarde will again step into the fire, looking to relieve David Benavidez of his WBC title.
The fight was announced by Turki Alalshikh and will take place in the month of November.
MAGICAL JAZZA DICKENS CROWNED WBA INTERIM CHAMP.
What a resurgence Jazza Dickens is having. In 2023, it looked as though he was on his way out of the sport without as much as a whimper, but now stands as the WBA Interim champion, having stopped Olympic champion Albert Batyrgaziev in the fourth round of their super-featherweight contest.
The fight took place in Istanbul, Turkey, showcasing Dickens’ credentials as a world operator as he aggressively pursued Batyrgaziev, landing chopping hooks that dropped the Russian. Dickens continued the onslaught when he got back to his feet with another more vicious hook, dropping the now former champion for the second time. The corner of Batyrgaziev had at this point decided they had seen enough to throw in the towel.
Dickens records back-to-back upsets with the previous being Zelfa Barrett in February, as the 34-year-old now moves into pole position for a shot at the champion Lamont Roach Jr.
