Unbeaten WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr (28-0-2NC, 22 KOs) gave the spectators in Japan a knockout performance, flatlining Japanese challenger Jin Sasaki (19-2-1, 17 KOs) in the fifth round, courtesy of a hard left hook on Thursday in Tokyo, Japan.

It looked to be a quick night’s work for Norman who started to let his hands go in the opener, dropping Sasaki on two occasions.

Sasaki showed heart in his pursuit of victory, going toe to toe with the champion, much to his detriment.

The curtain come down on his challenge in the fifth, Norman landing a left hook that brought the watching Japanese public to their feet and Sasaki to his knees (in a manner of speaking)
