IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia (27-0, 21 KOs) successfully retained his title with a decisive fourth-round knockout victory over previously undefeated David Nyika (10-1, 9 KOs) on Wednesday evening at the Gold Coast Convention Centre in Broadbeach, Queensland, Australia.
The bout was an exhilarating slugfest, with Opetaia emerging victorious in the fourth round by dropping Nyika twice. The match concluded at 2:17.
Opetaia is expected to face WBC Champ Zurdo Ramirez next.
Unbeaten WBO #5, IBF #13, and WBC #15 heavyweight contender Justis “JPH” Huni (12-0, 7 KOs) delivered the comprehensive destruction of Shaun Potgieter (10-2, 7 KOs). Huni dominated the proceedings from the outset, securing a referee’s stoppage victory in the second round after 33 seconds of relentless pummeling.
