In a highly anticipated grudge rematch, Jack Catterall (29-1, 13 KOs) avenged his previous loss to former undisputed junior welterweight champion Josh Taylor (19-2, 13 KOs) with a twelve-round unanimous decision on Saturday night at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, England.
Their first bout, 27 months ago in Glasgow, Scotland, ended in a controversial split decision favoring Taylor. This time, the fight remained fiercely competitive, with both fighters showcasing their skills and determination. The judges scored the bout 117-111, 117-111, and 116-113 in favor of Catterall.
