Conor “The Destroyer” Benn (23-0, 14 KOs) resume remained unblemished with the unanimous decision over Peter Dobson (16-1, 9 KOs) on Saturday at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

“He didn’t engage,” Benn said. “It is hard to get the knockout when you try and draw someone into a fight and there was nothing coming back…it was easy work, really.

“I go into every fight with the intention of breaking them down, breaking their spirit and knocking them out. It is hard to fight with someone who actually don’t think they can win the fight anyway; they come here to survive. It was like a journeyman. He was an all-right journeyman. He didn’t engage. He didn’t really throw. The only time was when I made silly mistakes. Apart from that, it was a one-sided beat down.”

Benn was the sharper puncher of the two whilst Dodson allowed the fight to escape him as the judges were in aggreement of a wide winner in favour of the away fighter by scores of 119-109, 118-110, 118-110.

Middleweight Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams (16-0, 11 KOs) stopped late sub Armel Mbumba-Yassa (10-1, 7 KOs) in the seventh round on the nights undercard. Williams made the breakthrough in the sixth, dropping Mbumba-Yassa before putting the cherry on the top of the cake in the seventh courtesy of a left hand. Time was 2:52.

Heavyweight favourite Johnny “The Romford Bull” Fisher (11-0, 10 KOs) wasted no time in stopping Dmytro Bezus (10-2 5 KOs), needing just one round. Time of stoppage at 2:51.

Light heavyweight “Big Steppa” Khalil Coe (8-0-1, 6 KOs) annihilated Gerardo Osuna (20-1, 18 KOs) in the second with body shots. Time 1:14.
