Former Heavyweight king Anthony Joshua looked back to his best in stopping Otto Wallin in five rounds on Saturday night at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Joshua was dominant from start to finish, capitalising on every mistake that Wallin made throughout the five rounds that the fight lasted.

Joshua rocked Wallin in the fifth that noticeably marked up the face of the Swede, so much so that his corner waved the white flag to the end the bout.

“I wasn’t watching [Wilder’s loss],” Joshua said after the fight. “I just focus on myself. I knew how important this fight was for me. I heard Deontay lost, so what? I’m sure he’ll come back. … Deontay? Everything he said about me, I could rip him apart right now but I’ll take the high ground.”

Joshua wasn’t fully ready to write off a 2024 bout with Wilder, saying

“No, listen. Look at [Daniel] Dubois this evening, He’s come back. You can do anything. If he wants, he can come back and fight another day. It’s up to him. I’m sure everybody still wants to see that fight.”

Joseph Parker spoilt the plans of the potential encounter of Anthony Joshua Vs. Deontay Wilder with a dominating performance over the latter as he prevailed with wide scorecards of 118-111, 118-110 and 120-108.

Wilder entered the betting favourite but was never able to find his famed right hand but instead found himself on the receiving end of some punishing shots that rocked the former champion on more than a couple of occasions.

Dmitry Bivol retained his WBA light heavyweight title with a clear decision over Lyndon Arthur.

Bivol dropped Arthur with a body-shot in the closing moments of the closing round and was unanimous on all scorecards 120-107 winner on all three scorecards.

“It was good sparring for me,” said Bivol ” … I’m glad that the end of the year I got this fight and now I see my way to my goal, to undisputed [championship] against the winner of [Arthur] Beterbiev-[Callum] Smith. I hope this fight will happen in 2024.”

“I felt like I did all right, but obviously not good enough,” said Arthur (23-2, 16 KOs). ” … One of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. He’s as good as everyone thinks he is. I believe he’ll beat Beterbiev.”

Heavyweight Daniel “Dynamite” Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs) put on a careers best performance in scoring a tenth round stoppage over Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller (26-1-1, 22 KOs).

Miller came in at a staggering 333lb with the tactic of wearing down Dubois, but with question marks surrounding the Brit he answered resoundingly.

Dubois moved his feet whilst finding opportunities for his jab, some good exchanges in the middle rounds but Dubois closed out the show emphatically, landing solid combinations that left the referee with little option than to call an halt to the bout.

In an upset, Heavyweight Agit Kabayel (24-0, 16 KOs) took Arslanbek Makhmudov’s (18-1, 17 KOs) unbeaten record with an impressive stoppage in the fourth round.

Makhmudov looked far from the fighter that had fight fans excited as he was outboxed for two round before the heavy artillery of Kabayel dropped him on three occasions.

Former IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia (24-0, 19 KOs) knocked out Ellis Zorro (17-1, 7 KOs) in the very first round.

Opetaia wasn’t looked for a long encounter as he made quick work of Zorro with the connection of a straight left. Time was 2:56.

Current IBF mandatory heavyweight title challenger Filip “El Animal” Hrgovic (17-0, 14 KOs) annihilated Mark “The Viking” De Mori (41-3-2, 36 KOs) in the first round. It was a mismatch, Hrgovic dropped De Mori in the first before earning the stoppage shortly after.

Heavyweight Frank “The Cuban Flash” Sanchez (24-0, 17 KOs) knocked out Junior Fa (20-3, 11 KOs) in round seven.Favwas on the canvas on three occasions in the fight. Time was 2:42.
