Lauren Price upped her level of opposition on Saturday night, not that you would have guessed from a near faultless performance in Paris over Naomi Mannes.
Mannes was coming in to the bout on the back of a European title challenge against Kirstie Bavington albeit unfavourably on a unanimous decision, the first loss of her professional career.
On Saturday night she was handed her second in succession with a calculated display from the Olympic Gold Medallist. Price laid out the gameplan from the opener, using feints to set traps which would later be capitalised on with stinging shots that left the German befuddled.
The Welsh star never looked out of her comfort zone, staying composed on route to a wide unanimous decision victory as fight fans were able to witness another layer of the fighter that will certainly be amongst the titles come the end of 2023.
