Former Heavyweight title challenger Dillian Whyte (29-3, 19 KOs) laboured to a majority decision victory over Jermaine Franklin (21-1, 14 KOs) on Saturday night at Wembley Arena in London.

In an uneventful encounter, Whyte was adjudged to have done enough with the American unhappy with the verdict, saying “I felt like I got robbed on the decision, I felt like a did enough,”

Judges scores were 116-112 on two scorecards whilst the third saw it as a 115-115 draw.

Unbeaten heavyweight Fabio Wardley (15-0, 14 KOs) scored a third round TKO over Nathan Gorman (19-2, 13 KOs) to capture the vacant British title. Wardley dropped Gorman three times before the bout was halted by latter corner. Time was 2:33.

Super lightweight Adam “The Assassin” Azim (7-0, 6 KOs) proved why many believe him to be the best prospect in the country with the beautiful knockout of Rylan Charlton (9-4-1, 4 KOs) on Sunday at the Alexandra Palace in London, England. Azim dropped Charlton twice in the contests opener before ending the contest in the second.

Unbeaten cruiserweight Mikael Lawal (17-0, 11 KOs) retired David Jamieson (9-2, 6 KOs) after the eighth with Jamieson staying on his stool.

English super welterweight titleholder Sam Gilley (15-1, 7 KOs) dropped Sean Robinson (11-2-1, 0 KOs) in the sixth before taking wide scorecards by 98-91, 98-91, 97-93.

Predictably, Regis “Rougarou” Prograis (28-1, 24 KOs) and Jose “Chon” Zepeda (35-3, 27 KOs) went to war for eleven rounds on Saturday night at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. Neither man took their foot off the gas in a bid to break the others resistance. Prograis proving the more durable of the two as he outlasted the teak tough Zepeda to stop his man in the eleventh of a contest that had spectators on their feet throughout, the victory puts Prograis back on the top of the pile in capturing the vacant WBC super lightweight title.

Unified IBF/WBO female minimumweight world champion Yokasta ‘Yoka’ Valle (27-2, 9 KO’s) took a majority decision over IBF/WBO light flyweight champion Evelyn ‘La Princesita’ Bermudez (17-1-1, 6 KO’s) in the co-feature.

Valle was the aggressor throughout the contest with Bermudez opting to fight off the back foot. Scores at the end of the contest were 99-91, 97-93, and 95-95.

Junior middleweight Fernando ‘EL Feroz’ Vargas Jr.(7-0, 7 KO’s) annihilated Alejandro Martinez, (3-3-1, 2 KOs). Vargas gave referee Ray Corona not option but to end the bout as he dropped Martinez twice in the second.

Super bantamweight Nathan Rodriguez (10-0, 7 KOs) took home a unanimous decision victory over Jerson Ortiz (17-6, 8 KO’s) over eight rounds. Rodriguez dropped Ortiz twice in the third but was made to go the distance by the tough Ortiz who pushed him all the way, scores were 80-70, 79-71, and 79-71.

Super welterweight Charles ‘Bad News’ Conwell (18-0, 13 KO’s) won a ten round majority decision over Juan Carlos Abreu (25-7-1, KOs) in a WBC title eliminator scores were 98-92, 96-94, and 95-95.

Conwell was cut early in the contest which Abreu targetted throughout but Conwell showed a champions heart as he stayed in the pocket for long periods in his defeat of Abreu.
