WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol (21-0, 11 KOs) dominated the previously unbeaten Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (44-1, 30 KOs) on route to a one sided unanimous decision at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Expectation of a close affair were wide of the mark, Bivol answered in full everything that Ramirez was asking of him, to the point where in the later rounds it looked as though Ramirez was fearful to throw anything substantial due to the counters that he was being hit with. In the end the judges scored the contest 118-110. 117-111, 117-111.

“I’m glad to have beaten Zurdo,” Bivol told reporters “44 fights he won before. Now I’m the first to beat him. Three years ago, I first wanted to fight him. This means a lot to me.”

“I did my job, I went to the body,” Ramirez told DAZN’s Chris Mannix. “I thought I did enough to win. The judges, they did their job. Congratulations to (BIvol).”

In a clash for the undisputed female super lightweight world title, unbeaten Chantelle “Il Capo” Cameron (17-0, 8 KOs) outpointed undisputed welterweight champ Jessica “Caskilla” McCaskill (12-3, 5 KOs) over ten rounds.

Cameron retained her IBF and WBC belts whilst adding the vacant WBA and WBO titles to her collection winning over the judges by 97-93, 96-94, 96-94.

Fighting for the title that Joe Cordina had to relinquish Unbeaten super featherweight Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov (17-0-1, 14 KOs) scored a ninth round KO over Zelfa Barrett (28-2, 16 KOs) to claim the IBF world title.

Barrett looked to be heading for world champion status as he dropped Rakhimov in the third but unluckily for him Rakhimov had more in the tank as he pounced on the fatigued Barrett to score the come from behind knockout in the ninth. Time was 2:35.
