Manny Pacquiao will step back through the ropes for the first time in two years on August 21st where he will face WBC/IBF welterweight champ Errol Spence Jr.
Pacquiao took to Twitter to announce the contest which will take place in Las Vegas putting a halt to his two year break that witnessed the dethronement of Keith Thurman for the WBA title in July 2019.
Pacquiao will aim to become a world champion in his fourth decade since capturing the Flyweight title in 1998 before going on to win titles in eight weight classes since.
Spence long considered to be amongst the two best (Terence Crawford the other) returned from a life threatening car accident to claim victory over Danny Garcia in December.
Spence simply wrote on social media platform Instagram “Done deal! See y’all in Vegas for the biggest fight of the year.”
