Tulsa, OK – JOE “THE BEAST” SMITH JR. (26-3 21KO’S) is set to go to battle against MAXIM VLASOV (45-3 26KO’s) for the WBO Light Heavyweight Championship in the main event on ESPN this Saturday night (4/10). The two fighters met for the first time in person yesterday, at the Osage Casino, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which will play host to the highly anticipated light heavyweight title bout.

“It’s very exciting being here [in Tulsa]. It’s been a long time, a long wait, and I had to go through some obstacles to be here, and I can’t wait to get in there on Saturday night and put my hands up.”

“It was disappointing that day finding out that I wasn’t fighting. But, I enjoyed my wedding for the night and then that week I got back to the gym and have been working just as hard every day, putting in all the work I need to and I feel 100% and ready to go.”

“It is going to be a great feeling [to win the title] and will bring a lot of opportunities to me and it will be amazing. It was everything I have worked towards since I was 13.”

“I have been training and sharpening my skills and I plan on giving it 100%.”

“This is a great chance for me and a great opportunity for me and I will be ready to fight”

“I wil be happy, more than happy, to fight and and win on Saturday and win the title.”
