Welterweight Jaron “Boots” Ennis (25-0, 23 KOs) showed the reason why expectation is set so high with the fourth round stoppage of Bakhtiyar Eyubov (14-2-1, 12 KOs) on Friday night at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, NJ.
Ennis wasted little time in letting his hands go, dropping Eyubov twice in the contests opener. Eyubov to his credit got upright whilst having a decent round in the second.
Ennis remained dominant, picking his shots which landed with such frequency on the oncoming Eyubov that the Commissioner Larry Hazzard decided enough punishment was administered, calling off the bout in the fourth. Time was :34.

Undisputed Women’s Middleweight champion Claressa Shields (10-0, 2 KOs) became the fastest boxer to win titles in three weight classes, surpassing Vasyl Lomachenko who took featherweight, super featherweight and lightweight titles in just 12 bouts.
Shields was again dominant, knocking down Ivana Habazin (20-4, 7 KOs) in the sixth on route to winning a ten round lopsided decision on the scorecards over the former welterweight champion, in the process crowning herself the WBC and WBO 154-Pound champion.
