Former WBA heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (35-2, 24 KOs) and Michael “The Bounty” Hunter (18-1, 12 KOs) went back and forth for twelve hard fought rounds without either mans hand raised as the contest was ruled a draw. Hunter hurt Povetkin in the opener but Povetkin come back strongly to rock Hunter in fifth. Hunter must have thought he had found a finish in the eleventh as he seemingly hurt Povetkin but in the end both had to settle for the draw with scores of 115-113 Povetkin, 115-113 Hunter, 114-114.
Heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte (27-1, 18 KOs) returned to the ring following his long layoff to score a ten round unanimous decision over Mariusz Wach (35-6, 19 KOs). The WBC mandatory number one was unable to showcase his power to the extent he would have liked against the stubborn Wach but got solid round under his belt to record scores of 98-93, 97-93, 97-93.
Heavyweight Filip Hrgovic (10-0, 8 KOs) made short work of former two-time world title challenger Eric Molina (27-6, 19 KOs). Hrgovic dropped Molina in the second via a body shot and finally put a full stop to the fight in the following round following a solid right to the head. Time was 2:03.
In a night of Heavyweights, Mahammadrasul Majidov (2-0, 2 KOs) kept his unbeaten record in tact by scoring a second round stoppage over Tom Little (10-8, 3 KOs). Majidov dropped Little in the second before following the shot up with a barrage of punches that left little option but to call an halt to proceedings.
Super bantamweight Hopey Price (2-0, 1 KO) scored a third round TKO over Swedi Mohamed (12-7-2, 3 KOs). The Impressive Price took control of the bout from the outset and gained the stoppage with the time at 2:22.
