YouTube stars KSI and Logan Paul met at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles last night bringing more than 10,000 and millions more watching across the world via streaming methods. The Pair had already shared a ring previous with a majority draw the verdict but KSI gained bragging rights in the rematch via a split decision.
KSI thought he had scored a knockdown in the third but was ruled a push from referee Jach Reiss. Paul came back strong landing an uppercut in the fourth to drop KSI, but was controversially deducted two points for further hitting his downed opponent. KSI poured on the assault in the later rounds to secure the victory by scores of 56-55 Paul, 57-54, 56-55 KSI.
Unbeaten super middleweight Nikita Ababiy (8-0, 6 KOs) scored a first round disqualification over Jonathan Batista (19-16, 12 KOs). Ababiy dropped Batista with a right hand but was deducted a point for hitting behind the head, shortly after the bell, tentions continued to rise as Ababiy got in Batista’s face which urged Batista to throw punch. Referee Ray Corona disqualified Batista.
WBA gold super bantamweight champion Ronny Rios (32-3, 16 KOs) scored a fourth round KO over Hugo Berrio (28-8-1, 18 KOs). Rios dropped Berrio with a big right hand. Time was 2:56.
Super middleweight Diego Pacheco (7-0, 6 KOs) knocked out Aaron Casper (5-5, 4 KOs) in round four. Casper was over his head with Pacheco who again impressed in dropping his man in round one and twice in round four. Time was 2:49.
