By Lee Thornton – Tomorrow night at Madison Square Garden in New York City, fans of the sweet science will be treated to a great main event between Terence Crawford and Amir Khan but will be equally gifted by the 21 year year old phenom Teofimo Lopez who will look to steal the show and continue his rapid rise through the ranks.

Lopez displays a unique mix of hand speed, power and body punching along with using a variety of different punches.

Junior Lopez the father of Teofimo also deserves a great amount of credit for the development of his son, Lopez has kept his son dedicated to the sport whilst not falling into traps many other young fighters plunge into.

The father and son pairing are extremely confident and have put the boxing world on notice, calling out any titleholder or highly ranked fighter out on a constant basis.

Tomorrow night (April 20th) Lopez will take on Edis Tatli (31-2) with expectations on yet another stoppage victory for Teofimo, I believe his skills as I listed above along with his athletic ability will be too much for his opponent.

I look forward in witnessing Lopez become a world champion in the near future , to which I urge boxing fans to keep their eye on him as an extremely rare talent, him and his father’s willingness to challenge the best is a refreshing attitude in boxing.

In his future I look forward to the potential of fights with IBF champion Ricard Commey, which Lopez has been very vocal about making the showdown in July.

Should Teofimo defeat Commey he would then be in line to face pound for pound champion Vasyl Lomachenko. Team Lopez insists they have the answers to solve the Lomachenko puzzle but only time will tell, one thing that is for certain, boxing fans will be treated to a potential legendary fight.

I've been in the boxing industry for over 16 years but been a fan for almost double that figure. I'm the proud owner of TopClassBoxing which continues to go from strength to strength as we strive to give fight fans a voice to be heard amongst the community. I've also had several articles published by reputable magazines and you can usually catch me around ringside.
