Dillian Whyte believes Oleksandr Usyk would struggle with the top heavyweights, still unconvinced by the showing of the man who knocked out Tony Bellew on Saturday night.

Whyte was in attendance to see the destruction first hand at the Manchester Arena but while it seemed everyone was showering the Ukrainian with plaudits, Whyte poured cold water on thoughts of Usyk taking over the sports top division saying “Usyk will struggle at heavyweight”

“Heavyweights are bigger and stronger guys and they will manhandle him. If I fought him I wouldn’t do what Tony Bellew was doing, I’d be charging at him all around the ring”

“He’s not going to drop me with one punch. I would maul him all night long. I would fight him in a very uncomfortable zone for him.

Usyk has had one eye on the heavyweight ruler Anthony Joshua for some time which has intensified further after the weekend but Usyk is also a fighter that interests Whyte should he beat Chisora on the 22nd December at the O2 Arena in London.

“If it’s a big fight and he wants it, he can have it. I’m game. If Usyk wants it he can have it. I’m the ‘Can Man’, like I say all the time. If you’re a top-10 fighter, you can have it.”
