Tonight at the Manchester Arena, as chief support to Usyk vs Bellew, the nicest man in Boxing will attempt to manoeuvre himself into another World Title Shot as Anthony Crolla takes on Daud Yordan in a Final Eliminator for the WBA Lightweight World Title.
Coming off the back of two losses to Jorge Linares, Crolla has had two good points wins over Ricky Burns and Edson Ramirez, to engineer himself what could possibly be a final shot at a World Title, after all the well-publicised ups and downs in Crolla’s career, no one would begrudge him a final shot at another Belt.
But first he has to get past Rugged Indonesian Lightweight Daud Yordan, who will see this as a massive opportunity to fight for a World Title, after 41 fights, Yordan has been handed a massive opportunity, but the fact that it is Chief Support on what is possibly the Biggest Cruiserweight fight in history, gives the sense that the occasion could get to Yordan and Crolla, who is well experienced at these big nights in Manchester could well take advantage,
The prediction is Crolla to feel his way into the fight early on with his excellent jab coming into play, overpowering Yordan down the home stretch as his stamina and combinations prove too much for Yordan, hopefully setting up another great night in Manchester for Million Dollar Crolla.
