Daniel “The Miracle Man” Jacobs (35-2, 29 KOs) captured the IBF Middleweight title with a twelve round split decision over Sergiy “The Technician” Derevyanchenko (12-1, 10 KOs) inside the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

In an engaging war, Jacobs was able to score a flash knockdown in the contests opener and whethered the storm of Derevyanchenko to record scores of  115-112, 115-112 Jacobs, 114-113 Derevyanchenko.

WBC Interim Super Lightweight champion Regis Prograis (23-0, 19 KOs) progressed to the semi-final of the World Boxing Super Series at 140lb with a unanimous decision victory over former WBO lightweight champion Terry Flanagan (33-2, 13 KOs) at the U.N.O. Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Prograis took control of the contest from the opening bell, Flanagan showed a willingness to stand and trade but it was to his downfall in the eighth as Prograis landed a hard straight left which dropped Flanagan, the British fighter got back to his feet but was punished for the remainder of the round, surviving by the skin of his teeth. Flanagan showed his heart once more for battle as he gave a good account of himself in the late rounds but it was not enough as Prograis righthfully took the judges scorecards by a wide margin of 119-108, 118-109, 117-110.

WBA super featherweight champion Alberto “El Explosivo” Machado (21-0, 17 KOs) destroyed Yuandale “Money Shot” Evans (20-2, 14 KOs) in the first round on Saturday night inside the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Machado was in a hurry to end proceedings early, doing so by dropping Evans three times in the contests opener.

In a clash for the vacant IBF junior welterweight title, Ivan Baranchyk (19-0, 12 KOs) stopped Anthony Yigit (21-1-1, 7 KOs) after seven rounds on Saturday night in a World Boxing Super Series 140lb quarterfinal at the U.N.O. Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Baranchyk shots were shuddering as the left eye of Yigit closed from the impact. Baranchyk was dedcuted a point for holding down the head of Yigit in the seventh but the fight was stopped at the end of the round following the orders from the ringside physician much to the discontent of Yigit.
