IBF Light Heavyweight Artur Beterbiev (13-0, 13 KOs) retained his crown but it was not without its drama in scoring the fourth-round knockout of Callum Johnson (17-1, 12 KOs) on Saturday night at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago.
Beterbiev showed his famed power, dropping Johnson at the end of the first round, looking like a fighter ready to end the bout in the second but Johnson still had enough in him to drop the champion with a hard left hand. It was encouraging for the competition knowing that Beterbiev could be hurt, although it was a fleeting thought as he scored a knockout in the fourth to pull the dream of winning a world title away from the Brave Johnson.

WBA super bantamweight champion Daniel Roman (26-2-1, 10 KOs) retained his title with a tenth round knockout of Gavin McDonnell (20-2-2, 5 KOs). The champion gained control from the opening bell before rocking McDonnell in the tenth, following the shot with a barrage of shots before the fight was stopped.
