Redemption was seized by Luke Campbell who reversed an earlier career loss to Yvan Mendy by outpointing the visitor by scores of 119-109, 118-111, 116-112. It was a brilliant boxing display from Campbell on this occasion, picking off the oncoming Mendy to secure his shot at the WBC lightweight title.

In a rather scruffy affair cruiserweight Lawrence Okolie (10-0, 7 KOs) captured the British title with a decision win over Matty Askin (23-4-1, 15 KOs). Okolie had three point deductions throughout the bout but was adjudged to have still done enough to take scores of 116-110, 114-112, 114-113.

2016 Olympic silver medalist Shakhram Giyasov scored a fourth round KO over  Julio Laguna (14-1, 10 KOs).

More misery was heaped on heavyweight David Price (22-6, 18 KOs) with the fourth round loss to Sergey Kuzmin (13-0, 10 KOs). Price pulled out of the contest stating that he entered the contest with a torn bicep which he could barely move.
