Prospect Watch

The Russian conveyor belt continues to churn out talented prospects looking to become the next Sergey Kovalev, Alexander Povetkin or even the great Kostya Tszyu.

Khuseyn Baysangurov is no different, taking to the paid ranks after blazing a trail of devastation from his time in an amateur capacity. A six-time Russian champion, two-time European champion and a winner on the world stage, he as started to make his mark on the Super Welterweight division.

So far so good, Baysangurov as taken his resume to an unbeaten 13-0 with only two fighters in that time able to make it to the final bell.

A come forward pressure fighter, It not difficult to see glimpses of the great Gennady Golovkin as he manoeuvres his opponents to the ropes before unloading the heavy artillery in the form of hooks to the body and head mixed with a solid, racking uppercut.

His latest victim, Jose Antonio Villalobos  lasted six rounds before predictably succumbing to the damaging shots which were frequently hammering home the bad intentions of the man from Samashki, Russia

It may be a little early to predict where he will sit when he arrives at the end of his career which is many years from now but from what we have seen so far the future is most definitely bright for the 23-year-old, who you may want to make a note of for future reference.
