BOXING SNIPPETS | LOMA’S SURGERY WAS A SUCCESS, WILDER LOOKING TO CONQUER THE CRUISERWEIGHTS AND PACQUIAO GIVES HIS THOUGHTS ON RETIREMENT.

Vasyl Lomachenko underwent surgery yesterday to repair a torn labrum that he suffered in the second round of his win over Jorge Linares. The operation was a complete success with intentions from Loma of a return before the close of 2018.

‘The Bronze Bomber’ Deontay Wilder intends to conquer the Cruiserweight division if he is successful in unifying at heavyweight. The Alabama native took to social networking platform Instagram to break the news of his intentions.

Last but not least, Eight weight world champion Manny Pacquiao says his next fight will provide an answer whether he will continue with his career.

Pacquiao is scheduled to face Argentinian Lucas Mattysse on July 14th, saying “If my body does not respond anymore why am I pushing myself? This fight is the answer to all those questions.”

The contest will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but one notable figure will be missing from the corner of Pacquiao as long-term trainer Freddie Roach is replaced with Buboy Fernandez
