By Lee Thornton – This past weekend boxing fans had many high profile fights to watch none bigger of course then Joshua vs Parker stacked with outstanding British talent.
However, in Liverpool talented British fighter Robbie Davies Jr had a very important test in his career, a rematch with Michal Syrowatka who handed Davies his first career loss via TKO in the 12th round of their first fight.
All the pressure was on Robbie Davies Jr to perform and avenge his previous defeat to Syrowatka. It was clear from the first round that Davies Jr was going to box Syrowatka rather than brawl.
Davies Jr put on a brilliant boxing display showing his amateur pedigree, his movement and counter punching frustrated Syrowatka who had no answer for Davies Jr switching stances. Davies Jr straight left hand from the southpaw stance was his most effective weapon all night.
Davies Jr produced 3 knockdowns in this fight including a vicious left hook that finished off his opponent Syrowatka in the 12th round.
It was a special moment for Robbie Davies Jr who pointed up to the sky after avenging his loss. A fitting tribute to his father Robbie Davies Sr a former boxer himself who represented Britain in the 1976 Olympic games in Montreal, Quebec Canada.
Boxing fans keep your eye on Robbie Davies Jr he is a talent I highly rate with a vast amount of skills and boxing pedigree.
