HORN STOPS CORCORAN IN ELEVEN

WBO Welterweight champion Jeff “The Hornet” Horn (18-0-1, 12 KOs) retained the title with the eleventh round stoppage of #10 rated Gary Corcoran (17-2, 7 KOs) on Wednesday night at the Brisbane Convention Centre in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

In a competitive encounter, both men were cut in the engaging contest but the champion had enough in the tank to take over in the championship rounds, leaving referee Benjy Esteves to call a halt to the contest due to the severity of Cocoran’s eye.

I've been in the boxing industry for over 16 years but been a fan for almost double that figure. I'm the proud owner of TopClassBoxing which continues to go from strength to strength as we strive to give fight fans a voice to be heard amongst the community. I've also had several articles published by reputable magazines and you can usually catch me around ringside.
