By Lee Thornton – In the sport of boxing names like Freddie Roach, Abel Sanchez and Floyd Mayweather Sr are infamous with boxing fans and media members, however looking over to the United Kingdom trainer Adam Booth has quietly built an impressive stable of elite boxing talent.
Boxers such as IBF and WBA super champion Ryan Burnett, displaying the versatility that some fighters can only dream of along with an exciting fan friendly style.
Charlie Edwards has displayed impressive counterpunching in many performances along with a high work rate including exceptional levels of punching accuracy.
The Young up and coming talent of Josh Kelly has stunned boxing fans with outstanding head movement, footwork and angles, with an underrated jab, Kelly’s style reminds me a bit of the great Prince Naseem Hamed.
Last but certainly not least we have former middleweight world champion Andy Lee who has shown his ability to be a vicious knockout puncher with his thundering right hook.
Lee still has plenty of fight left in him and posses a threat to many in the middleweight division.
Originally a pupil of the late great boxing trainer Emmanuel Steward he had an unsuccessful attempt at gaining a world title years ago. but after licking his wounds, he has since captured a version of the world title with Booth at his side in what was a very special moment between fighter and trainer.
Andy Lee is the veteran of the boxing Booth team, his leadership and knowledge will only help the talented crop of fighters such as Josh Kelly, Charlie Edwards and Ryan Burnett.
Many boxing fans should keep an eye out for this talented stable of fighters with Adam Booth’s proven history of making champions and helping fighters on the business side of the sport, his great coaching advice allows his fighters to benefit greatly for many years to come.
In this writers opinion, I expect to see Adam Booth become a boxing trainer of the year award winner in the near future.
