Kash Farooq and Scott Allan clash once again on November 23, with the Scottish title, and the right to fight for the British title on the line at the St Andrew’s Sporting Club in Glasgow.

‘The Untouchable’ Farooq is arguably one of the highest rated prospects in Scottish boxing at the moment, having looked flawless in his seven professional victories. Farooq once again turns his attention to Allan, as he sets his sights on a shot at the British title.

The humble Glaswegian opened up on what has changed since the pair last met.

Farooq said, “I’ve come on a lot since the last fight with Scott Allan.

“I feel I have been getting stronger in my last three fights and a lot fitter too.

“I’m a lot more experienced now; I’ve boxed different types of opponents and have now gone the 10 round distance.”

Farooq has been based at the Saltire Gym in Johnstone for several years now, honing his craft under the tutelage of Craig Dickson, Colin Bellshaw and Craig Docherty. ‘The Untouchable’ discussed how training had been going for the rematch with Allan.

He stated, “Training is going really well with the team. We are always learning and pushing harder than ever in the gym.

“My coaching team is brilliant; they always push me to the limit and helping me improve. That’s what I need at this stage in my career.

“I have a great team along, and with the backing of my team at Saltire Gym, Wokstar Castle and Sweet Science, I feel I can go all the way.”

With the Scottish title and a possible British title showdown at stake in this fight, it would be easy for either fighter to be looking at what lies in wait for the winner. Kash gave his take on his mindset going into the November 23 showdown at the Radisson Hotel and his prediction for the November clash.

He said, “I always take it one fight at a time, but yes I would love to fight for the British title.

“That is my goal; to win the British title and I have to be on my game constantly to make sure I accomplish this.

Farooq continued, “It’s going to be a really exciting fight but I see myself triumphing on November 23 and pushing on to the British title.”

Tickets for the evening’s action which include a 5-course meal are available from Farooq directly at Saltire Boxing Gym or by calling 0141 810 5700. Information on tickets and membership can be obtained by emailing
