WBO Heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs) retained his title with a majority verdict over Hughie Fury (20-1, 10 KOs) at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.

In a rather dull affair, both men can be found guilty of not taking the initiative. Fury employing an elusive style, fighting off the back foot pawing with the jab for the duration of the twelve round contest whilst Parker tried to bull inside to land his big shots which mainly landed on the gloves of the challenger.

Both men thought they had done enough to secure victory in a anti-climax but it was the champion who left the happier of the two, scoring widely on two of the scorecards by 118-110 while the other was a much more believable 114-114.
