HEARN ADMITS AJ COULD BE FORCED TO VACATE THE IBF TITLE

In victory, Anthony Joshua could still end up losing his IBF Heavyweight title similar to the situation Tyson Fury found himself in according to promoter Eddie Hearn.

Joshua will face former heavyweight ruler Wladimir Klitschko next weekend in defence of his IBF title whilst trying to add the vacant WBA title to his collection.

Although despite this, two may become one in regards to his title tally, Matchroom Promoter Eddie Hearn facing a struggle for his man to keep grasp of the beloved red belt (IBF)

The IBF will force the winner of Joshua v Klitschko to face Kubrat Pulev while the WBA will make him take on their No 1 challenger Luis Ortiz.

“Quite possibly he will have to vacate one of them unless a deal can be done” said Hearn “I’m not really concerned about belts. I’d love him to have all the belts but as Tyson Fury found out, that’s not really possible”

The attractive possibility of a contest with Deontay Wilder is on the horizon mixed with the potential of a huge future fight with Tyson Fury see’s AJ in an enviable position at the top of the heavyweight division, but like he says “One fight at a Time”
