Everything is in place for Manny Pacquiao’s return, Australian Jeff Horn apparently as won the race to face the WBO Welterweight king according to Top Rank Chief Executive Bob Arum.
First, it was on, then off and now that the more lucrative fight of Amir Khan as since fallen by the wayside, Jeff Horn is now firmly back in the picture
“As far as I’m concerned, everything is done,” Arum told Boxing Scene “There are some little strings, but they don’t amount to much.”
However, The Top Rank boss denied that a deadline had been set for Pacquiao to make a decision, instead, he explained that they only needed to inform the Queensland government.
“Right now, we’re finishing up all the contracts,” said Arum.
No word yet on which network would cover the fight or if it will be a PPV affair
Arum said that they will work on those issues once everything has been signed.
“First, we want to finalize the deal,” he said. “Then, we’re going to have press conferences in Australia for about a week, then we’ll come back to the United States and we’ll figure that out.”
