Headlining the new “NXTGEN” series put on by Matchroom Boxing, the Hard hitting Reece Bellotti (9-0, 8 KO’s) kept his unbeaten record alive whilst stepping into pole position for a shot at the coveted British Featherweight title with the third round stoppage of Dai Davies (14-26-2, 2 KO’s) at York Hall, Bethnal Green in London.
Bellotti was on the front foot from the opening bell, exerting pressure and shortening the gap, landing an assortment of shots to the body and head of “Dutters”.
Davies boxing off the back foot used his movement and jab to gain respite from the wave after wave of pressure but fell short in the third, spelling an end to his night in heartbreaking fashion.
Bellotti after landing a good uppercut followed it with a right hand which dropped Davies hard to the canvas.
The Welshman momentarily crumpled on the canvas, made it back to his feet which in itself was a feat but the fight was rightly waved off.
Bellotti with the win takes his record to 9-0 with 8 knockout’s, Davies falls to 14-26-2
