WBC Bantamweight King Shinsuke Yamanaka (27-0-2, 19 KOs) handed out a one sided beat down to tough Mexican Carlos Carlson (22-2, 13 KOs) in Japan today.
Yamanaka told reporters beforehand of his intentions in making a statement which is quite evidently what he did in the contest, dropping Carlson five times on route to the stoppage victory.
Carlson to his credit showed a tremendous heart in making it to his feet each time but was ultimately outgunned by the Bantamweight king who will now turn his focus to unifying the division with WBA champion Jamie McDonnell, IBF’s Lee Haskins and WBA ‘Super’ champion Zhanat Zhakiyanov all in his cross hairs.
