Brian Viloria returned from his 14 month lay off to get back in the win column with an eight round unanimous decision over Mexico’s Ruben Montoya on Thursday, March 2 at Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan.

In his promotional debut for Teiken Promotions, Viloria looked sharp throughout the contest, faring better than Montoya who succumbed to scores of 78-74, 78-75 and 77-75.

Viloria had been out of the ring since 2015 where he was stopped by WBC flyweight Roman Gonzalez in 9 rounds.
