Fight Report

Legendary Former Multi-Weight World Champion  Roy Jones Jnr often coasted through the eight rounds which the fight lasted against Bare Knuckle king Bobby Gunn at the Chase Center in Wilmington, DE.

Jones dominated Gunn through the opening six rounds, going through the motions as Gunn looked out of ideas on how to handle the 48-Year Old who unleashed a left hook that dipped the knees of Gunn, where another shot would have got the job done.

Jones it was clear was having too much fun, backing off from dropping the executioner’s sword before continuing the one sided nature of the fight.

Gunn looking dejected, started to walk to the centre of the ring to start the eighth but his corner had seen enough as they waved the white towel of surrender before the friendly nature of the contest returned, both fighters embracing with Gunn telling media afterwards of his thoughts that Jones had “Taken it easy” on him

I've been in the boxing industry for over 16 years but been a fan for almost double that figure. I'm the proud owner of TopClassBoxing which continues to go from strength to strength as we strive to give fight fans a voice to be heard amongst the community. I've also had several articles published by reputable magazines and you can usually catch me around ringside.
